How is JAMB Score Calculated 2024/2025
All UTME subjects are 40 Questions except Use of English which is 60 Questions.
For you to calculate your JAMB score, simply DIVIDE your PASS SCORE by 40 and MULTIPLY by 100.
Example:
School Beginner scored 30 out of 40 in Government, 30/40×100=75
This means that School Beginner scored 75 in UTME Government out of the possible 100.
what if School Beginner answered all the 40 questions correctly?
i.e 40 divided by 40 multiply by 100 = 40/40×100=100.
That’s how JAMB score is calculated for all subjects except Use Of English.
How UTME Use Of English Score Is Structured And Calculated
SECTION A: Comprehension/Summary

Using the marking scheme above, out of the 60 JAMB Use of English questions, if you scored 40, your mark will be 45/60×100 = 75.
How Many Marks Does Each Subject Carry In JAMB
A total score of 100 each.
This means that the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) total score is 100 per subject.
Currently, there are four (4) subjects in JAMB UTME.
These include English Language and any other three subjects in your field.
These four (4) subjects total 400.
Let’s say School Beginner chose Use of English, Government, Economics and Literature In English as JAMB subject combination for Law.
